Can some one tell me Catholic doctrine on Mary?

I might convert to Catholicism but the Mary thing confuses me. You pray to her she asks god to answer your prayers i get that but why do people bow to her when the bible says not to and why do people say she performs miracles like healing if she is not divine.can a catholic explain this to me please and i might join the church. NO HATE SPEECH PLEASE
