Could an "inadequate shower liner" really cause a massive leak and extensive water damage to the unit below?

== the maintenance co. needs to open the ceiling of yo neighbor and find the cause of the leak == it is not you problem or expense to install sliding shower doors ... take the shower and see what happens ................ you pay rent ?? not the plumbing repairs ...RIGHT????
